ISAAC Instruments held the very first edition of its User Conference on November 19th, 2015, at Hotel Mortagne in Boucherville. The event was intended for ISAAC’s clients in the transportation industry.

The conference started with ISAAC’s solution specialist Samuel O’Neill, who presented the features added to ISAAC InControl since it was launched in April 2014. Mr. Benoît Vincent from PIT Group, then shared the results of two studies showing the importance of driver feedback to maintain effective eco-driving practices acquired during training. As for Mr. Christian Marcotte, he explained to participants how Transport Jacques Auger used ISAAC’s solution to automate processes, reduce the use of paper forms and simplify driver payroll processing. In the section on compliance that followed, Mr. Jean-Jacques Alary explained in detail the legal requirements concerning the use of electronic devices for vehicle inspection and hours of service reporting. Finally, Mr. Joel Beal from JBA Telematics shed some light on the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) mandate to be in effect shortly in the U.S. and the impact on Canadian carriers travelling south of the border.

The event was also an opportunity for users to share with ISAAC’s team the challenges they face and submit their ideas for the future development of ISAAC’s solutions.
